COMSEC Staff Action Officer (035-26)

We are seeking a Staff Action Officer with immediate availability that will thrive in a challenging and rewarding process-oriented environment. You will provide a broad spectrum of support that enables the Joint Staff J6 CIO to provide expertise in support of the Chairman’s core responsibilities and in advancing C4/Cyber across all domains to enable a globally integrated Combined/Joint Force. This position provides staff coordination, meeting management, documentation, and administrative support for activities involving U.S. military, civilian, and international partner representatives. The successful candidate will be a polished and experienced professional capable of independently managing staff actions and interacting effectively with senior stakeholders. This is not a technical COMSEC position; however, prior exposure to or familiarity with COMSEC environments, terminology, or activities is preferred. Location: This position is located in Arlington, VA . A salary range of $125,000 - $145,000 is available for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, education, certifications, technical qualifications, security clearance, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package. Plan and organize working group meetings, conferences, and related engagements. Develop, coordinate, and manage meeting agendas. Prepare meeting materials, read-ahead packages, presentations, and supporting documentation. Attend meetings and produce accurate, comprehensive meeting minutes. Document decisions, action items, responsible parties, and suspense dates. Track staff actions and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion. Coordinate inputs and correspondence among military, civilian, and international partner representatives. Draft, review, edit, and route formal correspondence, information papers, decision papers, briefing materials, and other staff products. Maintain working group records, schedules, contact lists, and document repositories. Identify scheduling, coordination, or action-item issues and elevate them appropriately. Provide professional, responsive support to working group leadership and members. Perform other related staff support duties as assigned.
