Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the antepartum, labor, and delivery units during 13-week contracts. Responsible for monitoring maternal and fetal health, assisting with procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout labor and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and progress during labor.
• Administer medications such as magnesium and heparin drips, adhering to protocols.
• Support patients with non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, and insulin regulation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient information accurately in Meditech and CPN electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, medications, and postpartum care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of obstetric or labor and delivery experience.
• Current BLS certification; pregnancy and obstetric certifications preferred.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle high-acuity situations.
• Familiarity with Meditech and CPN EMR systems highly valued.
