Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Position: Occupational Therapist Assistant

Salary: $25-$27 per hour

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday with weekends as needed

Location: Outpatient and inpatient within the facility

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at our facility. As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to provide quality care and treatment to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients

- Help patients with activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and bathing

- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' motor skills, strength, and coordination

- Monitor and document patients' progress and report any changes to the Occupational Therapist

- Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to be performed at home

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

- Current state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in occupational therapy

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

- Knowledge of current occupational therapy practices and techniques
