Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be crucial in providing care to adult and geriatric patients in a general medical/surgical unit. Responsibilities include administering medication, monitoring patient conditions, and supporting recovery processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer insulin and heparin drips as required.
• Perform wound vac dressing changes and manage high flow oxygen therapy.
• Participate in rotations as part of the Inclement Weather Team.
• Provide nursing care to patients, following established protocols and best practices.
• Document patient care using the EPIC charting system.
• Engage in interdisciplinary support collaboration including respiratory services and physical therapy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in a medical/surgical setting.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Valid RN license (NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal).
• Current BLS certification is required; CPI certification preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred for night travelers.
