Quality Control Coordinator

Are you passionate about food safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement? We're looking for an experienced Quality Control Coordinator to join a growing food manufacturing team.

In this role, you'll help ensure products meet the highest quality and food safety standards while supporting audits, laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Forest Grove. If you have experience in food manufacturing quality assurance and enjoy solving problems in a fast-paced production environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Oversee laboratory employees to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Evaluate laboratory test results and release raw materials and finished products that meet quality standards.
• Maintain and improve quality systems, SOPs, and food safety documentation.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring accurate testing and data collection.
• Investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support FDA, GMP, HACCP, PCQI, and food safety compliance programs.
• Assist with internal and external audits, certifications, and customer complaint investigations.
• Coordinate laboratory supply inventory and sample shipments.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding quality and testing activities.
• Train and support Quality Control Technicians on quality procedures and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field required
• 2+ years of quality control or quality assurance experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment.
• Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, food safety regulations, and quality systems.
• Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to interpret laboratory test results and investigate quality issues.
• Experience maintaining controlled documents, SOPs, and quality records.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-3:30pm

Pay: $70,000-80,000/year depending on experience

Location: Forest Grove, OR – must have reliable transportation
