Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly

Primary Planning and Start Up Responsibilities:Provide the detailed input to project plans, schedules, and capital budgets.Evaluate the entire assembly process. This includes assessing the component fit, required fixturing, process parameters and equipment required to meet the design requirements.Develop detailed process requirements and the necessary process tools and equipment to ensure consistency and quality.Provide sequence needs of the process to our industrial engineering staff and guide the successful launch of the processGenerate required process data to drive ERP and MES systems.Work collaboratively with industrial engineering team members to plan, purchase, install and implement efficient use of resources throughout the manufacturing process.Complete, or coordinate completion, of safety risk assessment and safety lifecycle through development, installation, and start-up of new equipment and processes.Perform quantitative process assessments & process capability analysis to validate production readiness of equipment and process.Support trial builds of product through the system gathering process feedback for evaluation.Qualify equipment, tools and processes in areas of responsibility.Primary Ongoing Production Responsibilities:Evaluate assembly line process monitoring, analyze and identify process elements not in control and lead continuous improvement efforts.Review production data and identify need for new equipment. All drug testing will be conducted in accordance with federal and state laws.QualificationsEDUCATIONBachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldBachelors or better in Industrial Engineering or related fieldEXPERIENCEWorking knowledge of GD&T principlesExperience with MES and ERP systemsExperience installing and starting up various assembly processesUnderstanding of MTM time standard generationExperience with SPCAbility to interface with all levels of the organization (internally and externally)Experience analyzing product flow analysis and generating efficient layoutsExperience with Task Based Safety risk assessment and validation processExperience with the assembly of highly cosmetic productExperience with time standard and work instruction generationThorough knowledge of product conveyance and material handling systems.
