About the Role:

The Scale Attendant position is responsible for assisting scale house administrative functions. This individual will be operating the scale system. The role requires a detail-oriented and adaptable professional who can maintain accuracy and focus in a fast-paced recycling processing plant.

Shift : 8:30am to 5:15pm

Responsibilities:

• Operate scale house computer systems to obtainaccurateweight information for incoming recycling haulers and outbound shipments.
• Compare scale tickets and bills of lading to verify shipment contents and weights for accuracy.
• Issue receipts to drivers and collect required tickets and documentation.
• Maintainaccurateand organized records for reporting and operational analysis.
• Communicate effectively with haulers, truck drivers, supervisors, and peers in person, by phone, radio, and email.
• Performingday to dayadministrative tasks such asmaintaininginformation files and processing paperwork.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working in warehouse operations.
• Performadditionalduties asassigned to support operations.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Experience using computer systems for data entry and information processing.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to obtain, document, and record information accurately from multiple sources.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and noisy environment.
• Organized, punctual, and dependable.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Ability to interact with truck drivers, haulers, vendors, and customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

A normal work environment is a recycling plant, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE. The physical demands described here are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
