Driver JobJob Purpose: The purpose of the Driver is to operate company vehicles to deliver product in a safe and timely manner.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Deliver specified product to various locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances during the dayCoordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routesVerify with the customer at the time of delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory conditionPerform loading and unloading of the truck as neededMaintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programsEnsure all required paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork, is accurately completed and in possessionPerform pre- and post-trip truck inspectionsMaintain truck maintenance recordsNotify management of any safety issues with company vehiclesProvide support to Warehouse AssociatesParticipate in after-hours training classesWork overtime as assignedWork cooperatively with othersComply with all company policies and proceduresWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee may work in environments as cold as 20 degrees or as hot as 105 degrees.
