AM Server Bistro – Ocean House Collections Full Time Hourly – Watch Hill, RI Salary Range: $15.00 To $34.00 Hourly We are seeking an experienced Dining Server to join our luxury hospitality team. Scope of Position The dining server supports the restaurant, maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality and service. Essential skills include guest relations, wine and beverage knowledge, and proficiency with Excel, Word, ADP, and POS systems. Hourly Staff Schedule Requirements The property operates 24/7. Hourly staff may be asked to work extended shifts and additional days, especially during peak seasons such as Memorial Day through Columbus Day. Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holiday weekends, is expected. Reporting Relationship Reports to the General Manager and the Food & Beverage management team. Key Responsibilities Consistently exhibit Ocean House Collections culture and standards of conduct. Ensure restaurants are clean and table settings are impeccably maintained. Maintain a high level of wine pairing knowledge. Communicate effectively with the Director of Restaurants and Wine Director regarding daily training. Engage guests in current events and appropriate conversation. Deliver timely, efficient service in accordance with Forbes 5‑Star standards. Promote the Company’s Service Excellence Pillars. Represent the company with a positive attitude and professional presentation. Follow sustainability guidelines and related programs. Perform other duties as needed within the scope of the position. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Education At least 2–5 years of work experience that is applicable to duties listed. Experience in luxury hospitality; five‑star experience preferred. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently. Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy under pressure. Fluency in English spoken and written. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse range of guests and colleagues. Observational skills using hearing, sight, taste, smell, and touch. Adherence to Company standards, policies, and procedures. Task prioritization and organization skills. Calm problem‑solving and sound judgment. Basic instruction following. Teamwork and collaboration. Confidentiality of guest and employee information. Physical Requirements Sedentary or light work: occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; primarily sitting and walking. Medium work: occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; standing and moving around restaurant. Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, fingering, grasping, feeling, speaking, hearing, repetitive motions. Visual acuity: require close visual acuity for tasks such as analyzing data, reading, inspecting small parts.
