Regional Personal Training Manager

Job Details: Location: Madison (OMP) - Madison, MS 39110. Position Type: Full Time. Overview A Club4Fitness Regional Personal Training Manager is responsible recruiting for, hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new and existing personal trainers to become acclimated to the performance expectations of the Club4Fitness personal training program, as well as to ensure that the program grows and/or maintains targeted levels of monthly production. At all times, the Personal Training Manager must demonstrate a thorough understanding and ability to perform all aspects of the personal trainer position, along with a full understanding of organizational and departmental policies, and is expected to disseminate changes in policy, procedure, or performance expectations to his/her department in a clear, concise, and timely manner while representing the organization positively. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assists the Personal Training Director in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new Personal Training Managers for his/her assigned region. Provides new personal training managers with a specific schedule of onboarding activities to cover the first 30 days of employment. Schedules trainings to ensure that personal training staff develop a thorough working knowledge of the current POS system. Coaches personal trainers on running an effective consultation for a prospective training client; shadows previously trained personal trainers to evaluate their proficiency in providing client consultations. Instills in the personal training staff all fundamental skills related to efficiency of appointment setting for fitness consultations and overall prospecting within their assigned department. Leads all personal training staff by example in knowing, following, and understanding specific personal training and C4F policies and procedures, with an emphasis on full understanding of current cancel/freeze policies. Conducts session quality reviews of existing personal training staff within the assigned region. Supports the Personal Training Director by disseminating new personal training sales strategies as rolled out by the Director. Performs consults (monthly minimums as determined by the Personal Training Director). Understands departmental KPIs and metrics to support club and organizational efforts to improve overall personal training sales growth and guide the development of individual personal trainers as they build clientele. Promotes client retention by maintaining a strong team of skilled professionals, providing support, direction, and education to them as needed. Trains (and assigns) personal training staff on monthly trainer business plans and daily/weekly reporting. Oversees assigned PT managers and leads within the region, working closely with them and all PT staff to ensure company financial and customer satisfaction goals are met. Drives the implementation of company programs by motivating and supporting club teams within the region to develop and implement action plans that meet operational and organizational objectives. Assists in achieving club PT goals within assigned clubs. Identifies, interviews, and hires personal training managers, and assists PT Managers in hiring additional PT staff in assigned clubs. Demonstrates successful leadership, sales, training, and recruiting/hiring techniques, leading by example. Trains, coaches, monitors PT team successes, and holds PT Managers accountable at assigned clubs. Handles counseling, disciplining, and termination of PT Managers and assists PT Managers in addressing these matters with PT staff. Communicates effectively with upper management regarding successes, deficiencies, concerns, and improvement areas for the assigned region. Disseminates company policy, procedure, and vision in all areas of management. Drives PT revenue through personal sales meeting minimum requirements for the Regional PT position, as well as effective management of assigned PT teams. May choose to maintain a regular personal training schedule alongside the responsibilities above (to be determined by the PT Director based on regional needs). Delivers fast‑paced, pre‑designed workouts to medium and large groups of clients. Leads and motivates clients throughout intense training sessions. Builds and maintains a highly engaged member participation base. Practices what is preached, living a lifestyle similar to that desired for clients. Ensures safety of participants regarding exercise technique and boot camp activities, modifying specific exercises for varying skill levels. Attends weekly and monthly fitness meetings and required educational presentations; may assist in preparation and presentation of specific topics. Maintains member engagement through social media and brand promotion. Acts as a fitness leader in the community. Covers unstaffed clubs or clubs without a PTM to maintain a fully functional PT department. All other duties as assigned by the PT Director, Managing Partner, or other executive leadership officer. Organizational Relationships The position reports directly to the Personal Training Director assigned to the PTM’s club facility. Qualifications Required Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experienced Certified Personal Trainer with previous experience. Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics to assess and guide functional training for pregnant women, members recovering from illness or injury, and to improve repetitive motions or provide alternatives to endurance and/or strength training. Ability to pass a personal training Strength and Conditioning Assessment. Detail‑ and results‑oriented with high professionalism and organizational skills; can multi‑task. Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills. Capacity to train all fitness levels. Excellent communication and customer service skills, including a gregarious personality, innate ability to motivate and inspire, and unstoppable energy. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams. Minimum Certifications, Education, and Experience Level: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; a 2‑ or 4‑year degree in exercise science or related field preferred. Previous personal training sales experience a plus. Must hold a current fitness certification from an approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, NFPT (NCCA Certified). Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Frequent interruptions; climbing, stretching, light lifting of weights and equipment; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; computer use with repetitive hand motions. Regulated air temperature and humidity in gym facilities and office environment; temperatures may be elevated during group and personal exercise activities. Regular standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, stretching, lifting, and other physical activity required. Sitting, close reading, and typing required. Noise level generally low but may be louder and more intense in gym facilities. Travel required as described above. Hours Hours are scheduled with early mornings, late evenings, and some weekend assignments. Special occasions or activities may require extended hours related to events, launches, club openings, etc.; flexibility is paramount. The RPTM may also fill in when a PTM is unavailable.
