Maintenance Manager

Our Tier 1 Automotive Supplier client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at its Port Huron, Michigan manufacturing facility. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands‑on leader with plastic injection molding experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do Lead and develop the plant Maintenance Department in a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Drive a world‑class preventative and predictive maintenance program. Ensure maximum uptime of plastic injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment. Oversee electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs. Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and CMMS activities. Control departmental budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance costs. Lead troubleshooting efforts involving PLCs, relay logic, robotics, hydraulics, and automation equipment. Coordinate equipment modifications, facility maintenance, and contractor activities. Champion plant safety initiatives, including Lockout/Tagout compliance. Build, coach, and develop a high‑performing maintenance team focused on continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For Required: Experience in a Tier 1 automotive plastic injection molding manufacturing environment. 7+ years of maintenance leadership experience with supervisory responsibility. Strong background in: PLC troubleshooting and relay logic Electrical systems (110V–440V) Hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems Welding and fabrication Preventive Maintenance (PM) systems and CMMS Experience managing maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory. Ability to respond to plant emergencies and support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
