Technician I, Remote Care

Abbott seeks a Technician I for remote care support in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. This second-shift, on-site role involves handling customer service inquiries and technical troubleshooting for remote monitoring products in a call center environment while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Answer and document technical inquiries, complaints, and adverse events from healthcare professionals, patients, and internal departments
• Triage incoming calls and escalate to appropriate personnel for further assistance when needed
• Provide troubleshooting and support for Abbott remote care products including website navigation, mobile connectivity, and setup
• Perform rotating after-hours on-call support following established protocols for customers and field personnel
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, company policies, and patient data privacy requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Fluent in English and Spanish, verbal and written
• Customer service, product support, IT, or telecommunications experience preferred
• Medical device technical support experience preferred
• Ability to multitask, take detailed notes, and handle multiple concurrent calls
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliable attendance
• Capability to work on-site in fast-paced, matrixed team environments

Compensation: $13.18–$25.02/hour
