Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you will support high ‑ quality patient care by performing diagnostic laboratory testing and quality control procedures while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established laboratory standards. This role supports moderate to high ‑ complexity testing and plays a key role in daily laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing diagnostic testing and quality control procedures
• Preparing reagents and reporting test results in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Reviewing and overseeing moderate to high ‑ complexity testing
• Maintaining laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and supply inventory
• Monitoring computer applications related to laboratory operations
• Ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance in all testing activities
• Performing other duties as assigned in support of laboratory operations

Qualifications

Education

Required:

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related field

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Experience

Required:

• Clinical laboratory experience

Preferred:

• Minimum of four (4) months of clinical laboratory experience

Licensure / Certification

Required:

• Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Technologist
• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
