Strategic Sourcing Manager - Vice President

Salary and Compensation Anticipated salary range for this role is $128,000 – $165,000. Additional incentive awards may apply. Role Description Strategic Sourcing Manager responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies for the End User Technology (EUT) and Networking/Telecom categories. Includes managing supplier lifecycle, leading sourcing events (RFx), negotiating contracts to achieve optimal cost, quality, and service levels. Partner with IT stakeholders to align sourcing activities with business objectives. Role Objectives Lead and complete material sourcing events. Work with stakeholders to define requirements. Identify qualified suppliers. Design and execute competitive process. Evaluate offers and present sourcing options that meet SMBC requirements. Conduct commercial term negotiations. Implement and govern buying channels. Partner with regional sourcing colleagues, internal stakeholders, procurement operations, third‑party risk and contract management, in‑house legal, risk and finance teams. Maintain compliance with policy and procedural guidelines. Identify new opportunities that address or anticipate client needs. Priorities Challenge status quo, build alliances to deliver change, engage clients proactively to identify and develop value‑added opportunities and comprehensive sourcing strategies. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree required; experience in financial services industry. 5+ years of proven category expertise in End User Technology / Networking & Telecom sourcing. Preferred Qualifications Collaboration and leadership skills. Ability to adapt and thrive in an evolving environment. Strong business acumen, issue resolution, negotiation and project management skills. Strong people skills, ability to engage all management levels. Initiative‑taking, self‑starter who can work independently. Experience with PowerPoint and Excel pivot tables. Comfort working with technology. Ability to conduct market/industry/supplier analysis and synthesize data into consumable format. Experience driving change by influencing others at all levels. Effective communication with internal sourcing and client stakeholders. Cost modeling skills: understand value streams, cost drivers, and break down cost structures to derive total cost of ownership. Drafting and redlining contracts knowledge; strong understanding of RFI/RFP/RFQ and sourcing process. Additional Requirements The role is hybrid, requiring work from home and office days as set by manager. Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance of assigned office.
