Job Summary

Ultrasonographer Echo performs diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations under physician direction to support the identification of abnormalities and patient diagnosis. The position prepares patients and examination areas, selects appropriate protocols, obtains quality images, evaluates completed studies, and documents findings accurately. The role requires comfort performing pediatric and neonatal echocardiograms.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential; Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include preparing examination rooms, obtaining informed consent and clinical histories, explaining procedures, positioning patients, assessing patient status, performing diagnostic techniques, reviewing studies for quality and completeness, coordinating images and documentation, communicating patient-related information, supporting safe handoffs, monitoring equipment reliability and safety, maintaining supplies and work areas, transporting patients as needed, and participating in quality initiatives. Pediatric and neonatal echocardiography experience or comfort is required for the role.
