Are you willing to serve not only as a choir director, but also as a caring residential presence for children who need refuge, structure, guidance, and love?
The Opportunity
Mountain Mission School is seeking a Choir Director to lead its student choir program while also serving as a residential hall parent. This role is ideal for a Christian musician, educator, or ministry-minded leader who wants to use music, discipleship, and daily care to invest deeply in the lives of students.

The Choir Director will teach choir during the school day, support K–7 music electives, help plan choir travel, and serve as part of the residential life of the school.
MMS welcomes candidates with a bachelor’s degree, musical ability, experience working with students, and a desire to serve in a Christ-centered educational setting. Teaching experience, ACSI certification, state licensure, or a background in music education are preferred.

Located in the heart of Appalachia, MMS has served children and families since 1921. Students come from a wide range of backgrounds, including many who need a safe, stable, and loving place to live, learn, and grow. MMS receives no state or federal funding and continues its work through the support of individuals, churches, businesses, and partners who believe in its mission.
