This Radiologic Technologist role is based in Denver, Colorado, a highly desirable city known for its unique balance of vibrant urban life and easy access to the outdoors. The imaging department is equipped with up-to-date digital radiography systems and integrated PACS, supporting efficient workflows and high-quality diagnostic images. You will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that values strong communication, mutual respect, and continuous improvement in both patient care and professional practice. Typical responsibilities include performing a full range of general diagnostic radiographic procedures, including routine exams, fluoroscopy support, portable imaging on inpatient units, and operating room imaging using C-arms. You will verify patient identification, review orders for appropriateness, ensure proper patient positioning, select technical factors, and follow strict radiation safety and infection control protocols. Daily work also includes accurate documentation within the EMR, timely image submission to PACS, and clear communication with radiologists and ordering providers. A typical day may involve rotating between scheduled outpatient exams and unscheduled inpatient or emergency studies, depending on the department’s focus. You may assist with trauma cases, support surgical and interventional procedures, and adjust to changing priorities based on patient acuity. Patient populations may include pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, requiring flexibility and a compassionate approach to care. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on departmental needs, with options for 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts where available. Patient volumes and ratios are managed to support both quality care and efficient throughput, with technologists working closely with support staff, nurses, and radiologists to keep the department running smoothly.
