Finance Specialist II/Payroll Assistant

Job Title

Qualifications/Experience: High School Diploma/GED. Associates/Technical degree preferred. Moderate experience working with bookkeeping, accounting finance, payroll records or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Successful background check required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed: General knowledge of bookkeeping terminology and methods, routine accounting principles, accounts payable, payroll and benefit program administration, and standard office procedures, practices and equipment. Ability to maintain financial records and to prepare reports and statements. Ability to make arithmetical computations quickly and accurately. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, various outside agencies and the general public. Ability to always be mindful of, respect and maintain confidentiality. Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty. Specific Tasks: Interact with multiple departments to perform intermediate technical work handling various finance, accounts payable, and payroll duties in accordance with state and federal guidelines and the mission of the district.

Hours Per Day: 8 hours per day 260 day per year

Payrate reflected is in accordance with the 26-27 T&C agreement, which goes into effect 7/1/26
