Details Acute care hospital setting with an average daily census of 220 patients Approximately 12 visits per day with a 1:20 patient ratio Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM No on-call requirements Floating to other units required Patient population includes joint replacement, spine surgery, neurosurgery, GI and vascular surgery, amputations, stroke, Parkinson's, dementia, CHF, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, falls, vestibular disorders, failure to thrive, pneumonia, and cellulitis Requirements Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required BLS certification required Prior experience with a 1:14 patient ratio required EPIC charting experience required NY state license required if applicable Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred Skills include assessment, adaptive devices, gait training, wheelchair assessment, and equipment such as Hoyer lifts, sliding boards, and specialty beds Experience with cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric patient populations preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, discharge planning, and patient/family education across a variety of diagnoses Duties involve documentation of assessments, goals, plans of care, and reassessments Scrubs of any color accepted except navy, surgical blue, or green First-time travelers will be considered for this role Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 75 miles from the facility Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered Previous employees must wait 6 months system-wide before reapplying American Traveler Job ID P-749678.
