Role: Security Engineer Automation / IAM Location: 100% Remote U.S. Only | Core Hours: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM ET Duration: Contract | On-Call: Monthly 247 SOC rotation Seeking an experienced Security Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in security automation, Python, Linux, IAM, APIs/SDKs, scripting, and enterprise security integrations . Occasional visit to client place at South Carolina , no travel expenses to onsite visit to client place at South Carolina Key Skills: Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, JSON/YAML Linux administration, Docker, monitoring & troubleshooting Security automation, SOAR, SIEM, XDR, vulnerability management IAM, RBAC, provisioning/deprovisioning & authentication API/SDK integrations, workflow automation & error handling Cloud, network, endpoint, email & enterprise security platforms Palo Alto, Proofpoint, Tenable, Cribl/WUG experience preferred Strong security engineering + SOC operational experience Requirements: Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience; 8+ years relevant experience and 5+ years supporting large IT/security environments . Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred. Screening: Credit check, criminal background check & annual CJIS certification required. Preference for South Carolina-based candidates who can provide occasional onsite support.
