CG Generalist Intern Framestore Chicago is looking for the next generation of VFX talent to join us as a CG Generalist Intern. We are seeking candidates with an interest in developing a versatile skill set across multiple disciplines within the 3D pipeline—ranging from modeling (both traditional and procedural), texturing, and look development to lighting. This is a 4-month paid internship working within our award‑winning CG team. Our internship program is focused on developing the candidate’s skills in a production environment. You will be matched with a mentor who will provide instruction and regular reviews of your work, in addition to inclusion in the day‑to‑day workings of our CG team. You will work alongside experienced artists, attend project reviews, and take creative briefings. The internship will start on June 8, 2026 and finish on September 25, 2026. Internships will be conducted in a hybrid model. Please make sure you have internet access for your remote days and that you are within a commutable distance to the Chicago studio for onsite days. Foundational knowledge of industry‑standard softwares such as Houdini, Maya, Nuke, and/or Substance Painter Working knowledge of Arnold (or comparable rendering platforms) Ability to interpret and follow reference material to create clean, highly detailed and accurate imagery across different styles with an emphasis on photorealism Familiarity with Linux systems (or eagerness to learn) Internships are paid at $21 per hour. Candidates must have current work authorization for the USA and be available to work 40 hours a week. No financial relocation assistance will be offered.
