About the Role
We're hiring a friendly, organized Restaurant Host to greet guests, manage reservations/ walk-ins, and help create a great first impression. You'll coordinate with the team to ensure smooth seating accurate wait times, and excellent customer service from arrival to dining. Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and professionally as they enter
- Manage reservations and waitlists (phone, online, and in person
- Seat guests according to availability, party size, and any special requests
- Estimate wait times accurately and communicate clearly
- Coordinate with servers and the floor team to support efficient service flow
- Answer guest questions about wait times, seating, and restaurant policies
- Maintain an organized lobby (cleanliness, menus, signage)
- Handle guest concerns calm and escalate issues to manager when needed
- Support Smoot operations during peak hours and events
- Customers service experience preferred (restaurant/hospitality strongly valued)
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, welcoming attitude
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail (reservations, names, party counts, seating flow
- Comfortable using reservations platforms/point of sales systems (training available)
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work flexible shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays as needed)
- Typical hours: 4pm to 12pm depending on business
