We work together to support students, families, and one another. What You'll Do As a Reading Interventionist, you will provide targeted support to students who need additional reading instruction. You will work closely with classroom teachers and families to help students build foundational literacy skills and close learning gaps. Deliver small‑group and individualized reading intervention Provide systematic instruction in foundational literacy skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension Monitor student progress and use data to adjust instruction Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student growth Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress Maintain accurate records of student intervention services and progress monitoring Participate actively in coaching, planning, and professional development Contribute positively to the culture and mission of the school What We're Looking For A belief that every student can learn to read Strong understanding of foundational literacy instruction Experience teaching beginning readers or struggling readers Patience, persistence, and attention to detail Strong communication and relationship‑building skills A growth mindset and willingness to receive feedback Professionalism, reliability, and initiative A passion for helping students achieve more than they thought possible Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Ability to pass a criminal background check Eligibility to work in the United States Preferred Experience teaching reading, literacy intervention, tutoring, or elementary education Experience working with struggling readers Knowledge of foundational literacy instruction and the science of reading Experience using student data to drive instruction Dyslexia training or certification is a plus but not required We recognize that great educators come from many different backgrounds.
