Cloud Enterprise Architect

Northwest Partners is supporting a major initiative with a top-tier organization in the government technology space and is looking for an experienced Cloud Enterprise Architect to contribute to the success of this work. This role will lead enterprise-scale cloud architecture, evaluate multi-cloud alternatives, and recommend secure, scalable solutions across major public cloud environments.

What YOU will do

Lead enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure architecture across complex, full-lifecycle initiatives.
Evaluate architecture alternatives across major public cloud providers and recommend solutions based on technical, security, governance, and operational requirements.
Design and implement cloud architectures spanning at least two major public cloud platforms.
Establish cloud architecture patterns, standards, and technical guidance for enterprise environments.
Develop and implement infrastructure as code and scripting solutions to support repeatable cloud deployments.
Implement cloud security, compliance, and governance controls aligned with NIST, CJIS, and applicable California requirements.
Guide multi-cloud strategy, architecture decisions, and integration across enterprise systems.
Support DevOps and CI/CD integration within cloud environments.
Identify cloud cost-optimization opportunities and recommend measurable efficiency improvements.
Produce architecture documentation, technical recommendations, and cloud architecture work samples.

What YOU will bring us

7+ years of IT architecture experience, including 5+ years leading enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure work.
7+ years of design and implementation experience across at least two major public cloud providers.
Current expert-level cloud architecture certification.
5+ years as lead architect on at least three large-scale, full-lifecycle cloud projects.
4+ years of hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and scripting.
4+ years implementing cloud security, compliance, and governance aligned with NIST, CJIS, and applicable California requirements.
Ability to provide at least two relevant cloud architecture work samples.
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or engineering field.
Additional advanced-level cloud certification is desired.
Multi-cloud strategy experience is desired.
Cloud cost-optimization experience with measurable savings is desired.
DevOps and CI/CD integration experience is desired.
