TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Des Moines, Iowa, 50309!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) Experience: - Minimum of one completed travel assignment in the past 12 months. - Experience in Labor and Delivery is required. - Experience in high-risk OB and antepartum care is required. - Experience with C-section and vaginal delivery is required. - Experience in postpartum/mother-baby care is preferred. License: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required. - AWHONN certificate required. Must-Have: - Work history/resume must indicate recent/current Labor and Delivery experience. - Skills checklist must be specific to Labor and Delivery. - Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or CNO/COO performance evaluation within the past 24 months. Description: The position requires floating across multiple facilities as needed. The unit has a bed size of 45 with a patient ratio of 1:1-2. The types of patients include high-risk obstetrics, antepartum, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries. The role includes administering drips such as magnesium, insulin, and pitocin. The hospital provides scrubs for the staff. The unit averages approximately 150 deliveries per month. Candidates must be prepared to work 1-2 of the three upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Intermediate or Advanced EFM/AWHONN certification is accepted. Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is required.
