Role Overview
The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for the design and development of high-quality software applications and reusable components within the Cotiviti product suite. This role requires a high-performing technical leader who can collaborate with offshore teams, mentor developers, and translate complex business requirements into technical implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software modules and detailed technical designs for implementation.
- Collaborate closely with offshore development teams to ensure code adheres to best practices.
- Analyze and resolve software-related issues from internal and external customers.
- Execute all facets of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on Agile Scrum techniques.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a high-performing technical environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with RDBMS (MS SQL Server preferred, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing in the Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, PySpark, MapReduce, Hive, Impala).
- Minimum 5 years of experience with common application frameworks (JEE – Spring Boot, Struts, Hibernate).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Java, Python, C/C++, or C#.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript.
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
- Knowledge of cloud development and microservices.
- Strong ability to execute project deliverables in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Experience with VIBE programming.
