Job Description
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position entails providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients, in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, including respiratory issues, cardiovascular diseases, and trauma incidents.
Assess patients' conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions in a timely manner.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Monitor and document patients' vital signs and clinical status.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while adhering to hospital protocols.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans.
Participate in the management of psychiatric patients, utilizing appropriate interventions when required.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting is preferred; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Strong assessment, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Shift Details

3 x 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30).
Every other weekend and holiday requirements apply.

This position has an average daily census of 30 patients, with a bed capacity of 40 and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. The emergency room encounters a range of medical issues including respiratory problems, chest pain, myocardial infarctions, strokes, and mental health emergencies.
