Job Overview Registered Nurse position specializing in OB/GYN, Med Surg, Postpartum, and Pediatrics at a multi‑campus facility offering emergency, inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, long‑term care, geriatric behavioral health, and advanced wound care services. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care in Med Surg, postpartum, and pediatrics, prioritizing medical surgical patients due to low birthrate. Manage common diagnoses and treatments, including bowel obstruction, hip fracture, cholelithiasis, appendicitis, and postpartum care. Perform intravenous (IV) placement, nasogastric (NG) tube placement, and fundal checks. Demonstrate a professional, team‑player personality. Job Requirements Recent experience in Med Surg, postpartum, and pediatrics. Valid RN licensure in Tennessee. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, HWC, NRP, and PALS. Minimum 2+ years of experience in the specialty. Completed background check against the Tennessee Abuse Registry. Skills: IV placement, NG tube placement, and fundal checks. Preferred skillset: Med/Surg. Schedule Information 36 hours per week. Weekend hours every other week or as needed. Call requirements as needed. Orientation bi‑weekly on Mondays. Unit Specific Information Unit: 5460 (660) OB/GYN. Role: Registered Nurse. Specialty: OB/GYN/Med Surg/Postpartum/Pediatrics. Number of openings: 1. Weekly guaranteed hours: 36. Weekend hours: Every other / As Needed. Call requirements: As Needed. Float requirements: As Needed. Patient population serves all ages. Unit has 14 beds with patient ratios of 1:5+. Common diagnoses/treatments: bowel obstruction, hip fracture, cholelithiasis, appendicitis, postpartum care. Preferred skillset: Med/Surg.
