Qualifications
Education & Experience
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited four-year institution is preferred. Alternatively, candidates with 4–6 years of directly relevant work experience and a high school diploma or GED (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) will also be considered.
Electrical Specialist – Required Skills
- Practical knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), including refining, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLC programs
- Solid understanding of electrical power systems and circuitry
- Familiarity with CNC control systems
Mechanical Specialist – Required Skills
- Practical knowledge of designing and maintaining mechanical components and systems
- Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic system design and maintenance
Preferred for Both Specialties
Prior experience maintaining HPDC (High Pressure Die Casting) machines and CNC equipment is strongly preferred.
Communication Skills
Able to read, interpret, and analyze business publications, technical procedures, professional materials, and regulatory documentation. Capable of writing clear reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation. Comfortable presenting information and fielding questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Mathematical Skills
Able to work with figures involving percentages, discounts, ratios, commissions, area, and volume. Comfortable applying basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Reasoning & Problem-Solving
Able to identify problems, gather relevant data, and draw sound conclusions. Comfortable interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in diagram or mathematical form, while managing multiple abstract and concrete variables at once.
Physical Requirements
Regularly requires talking and hearing. Frequently requires standing, walking, and use of hands for handling, feeling, and reaching. Occasionally requires sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical equipment. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, elevated work areas, airborne particles or fumes, hazardous chemicals, high heat, and electrical hazards. Typically a loud work environment.
