Mechanical Engineer

job summary:
Our client is seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer in Perry, OH to drive the planning, design, and quality installation of critical mechanical systems. This 6-month contract-to-hire role requires a US Citizen with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and heavy industrial or power plant design experience, ready to apply advanced engineering techniques to complex project objectives.

responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

• Research, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of mechanical equipment, systems, and piping processes to ensure they meet all design requirements.

• Assist designers and drafters in developing structural equipment and piping system designs using CAD and 3D design software while performing pipe stress analysis.

• Conduct feasibility, design, and operational performance tests on equipment and components, developing alternate design models to optimize efficiency and understand how to get the most out of equipment.

• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, making minor adaptations and modifications as needed.
