Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS) - Mobile Crisis Response

Full-Time | 40 hours/week | $24.04-$26.44/hour ($50K-$55K annually)
Locations Served: Preble & Montgomery Counties, OH
Schedule: Rotating shifts (including evenings, weekends, and holidays)

Join the Choices Mobile Crisis Response Team and be on the front lines of helping individuals through mental health and substance use crises. This is a 24/7 emergency response team that provides in-person support within 60 minutes , helping people stabilize, connect to resources, and begin their recovery journey.

What You'll Do

• Respond in person to mental health or substance use crises as part of a team-based mobile unit
• Use de-escalation techniques to safely support individuals in crisis
• Provide short-term follow-up support (up to 42 days) to help individuals connect with community resources and maintain stability
• Collaborate with clinical leadership, peers, and community partners
• Document services and maintain accurate, timely records
• Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings
• Follow program protocols and contribute to continuous quality improvement
• Represent Choices' mission and services to individuals, families, and community partners

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Training or education in mental health and/or substance use recovery (or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire)
• Ability to respond to crisis calls within 60 minutes
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with professionalism in diverse settings
• Valid driver's license and access to a smartphone
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)

Preferred:

• Experience in crisis response or behavioral health
• Bilingual (Spanish)
