Desired Background and Qualifications:

• Active 310 School Social Worker certification is required
• Experience working in school environments, preferably at the middle school level
• Solid understanding of social work principles, crisis intervention, and counseling techniques
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Strong collaboration abilities with teachers, staff, parents, and administration

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to middle school students
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to support students’ academic and social success
• Partner with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address barriers to learning
• Serve as an advocate for students, connecting them and their families to community resources as needed
• Maintain thorough case files, conduct assessments, and participate in IEP/504 meetings
• Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school climate for all students
