Job Description

This role involves setting up and safely operating Haas CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components from blueprints. You will interpret technical drawings, select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds, and perform program downloads and edits directly at the machine. The position requires strong measurement skills, familiarity with jigs and fixtures, and the ability to complete accurate production documentation while maintaining a clean, organized work area and performing routine machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and safely operate Haas CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality parts.

• Transform blueprint and technical drawing information into accurate workpieces.

• Use measurement tools such as tape measures, squares and scribes, calipers, protractors, punches, and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.

• Apply knowledge of jigs and fixtures to perform setups, including blocking, aligning, and securely clamping workpieces.

• Download, load, and edit CNC programs at the machine as needed to optimize operations.

• Select proper speeds and feeds, tooling, and operational sequences based on material type and machining requirements.

• Accurately complete labor reports, material issue forms, kit lists, scrap reports, and material move documentation.

• Understand and follow production schedules, tracking releases and ensuring work is completed on time.

• Perform routine maintenance on Haas mills and lathes, including maintaining coolant levels, removing chips and debris, and keeping machines in good working order.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

• Use hand, bench, and light machine tools to deburr, file, grind, and polish sawed and machined parts.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve machining issues and improve processes as needed.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position (4-10s) with core hours from 5:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, including a 30-minute lunch break. Voluntary overtime is available on Fridays and potentially Saturdays, with the possibility of 10-hour days for those who choose to participate. The facility is very clean and well-lit, providing a safe and comfortable environment for precision machining work.

This is a Permanent position based out of Beaver Dam, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
