Overview Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech – Ultrasound specialty in Cambridge, MA. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,768–$1,872 per week Guaranteed hours: 24 hours/week Contract duration: 4 weeks Shift: 2x2 nights (12-hour shifts) Start date: 08/10/2026 Setting: hospital-based travel assignment; inpatient and outpatient ultrasound Responsibilities Perform general ultrasound examinations, including small parts, vascular (lower and upper extremities venous), OB/GYN fetal surveys (all trimesters), and select pediatric studies (hips, spine, head, pylorus, intussusception) Acquire, analyze, and document ultrasound findings; ensure patient safety and comfort; communicate results to radiology team and clinicians per department protocol Operate ultrasound equipment, maintain image quality, and participate in department QA and cross-training as needed Provide both inpatient and outpatient imaging across radiology services; may be required to float to all supported sites within the network Record findings in the electronic medical record and adhere to department policies and regulatory standards Maintain credentials and stay compliant with required certifications and seasonally appropriate vaccines Requirements ARDMS RDMS certification and current AHA BLS certification required at submission Minimum 3+ years of ultrasound experience in the specialty field Ability to work in inpatient and outpatient settings and to float across Cambridge, Somerville, and Everett sites Current flu vaccination during the season Submission must include an up-to-date resume with 3+ years of specialty experience, 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references, and a skills checklist EPIC EMR experience preferred RTO requests must be included at submission and are not guaranteed after confirmation Valid driver’s license with address that matches demographics Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours and consistent weekly pay 24/7 recruiter and travel support Extension opportunities beyond the initial assignment Fast credentialing and onboarding processes Nationwide assignments and ongoing assignment support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Find more opportunities Find more opportunities.
