Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

The Cardiac Telemetry Unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac telemetry. The ideal candidate will perform essential nursing duties in a high-acuity environment, managing patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and closely monitoring post-operative cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration).
• Provide care for patients post-PCI, PPM, and ICD insertion.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and families regarding care plans and progress.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in cardiac telemetry.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Tele/Stepdown experience is highly preferred.
• Cardiac Telemetry experience is a must.
