Role Description The Funeral Director will provide professional, compassionate guidance to families as they plan and carry out funeral, cremation, and memorial services. Working on-site at a Dignity Memorial location in Memphis, TN, this full-time role coordinates service details, including scheduling, logistics, and ceremonial elements, to ensure each arrangement reflects the wishes and traditions of the family. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with families to discuss options, preparing and filing required documentation, and collaborating with funeral home staff, cemeteries, and officiants. The Funeral Director will also oversee the preparation and presentation of loved ones, support families during visitations and services, and ensure adherence to all regulatory, ethical, and safety standards. Qualifications Expertise in embalming and related preparation procedures, with a commitment to dignity, safety, and regulatory compliance. Experience working in funeral homes and familiarity with funeral, cremation, and cemetery service operations. Strong family services skills, including the ability to provide empathetic guidance and support in emotionally sensitive situations. Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact clearly, respectfully, and professionally with families, colleagues, and community partners. Valid funeral director and embalmer licensure in the state of Tennessee (or ability to obtain licensure as required). Ability to manage multiple arrangements, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed. Associate or bachelor’s degree in mortuary science or a related field is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
