Location: 2400 Hospital Drive, Bossier City, LA 71111

Start Date: 05/04/2026

End Date: 08/01/2026

Shift: 12-hour nights (including weekends)

Hours/Week: 36-40 hours (based on rotating schedule)

Employment Type: Contract

Licensure/Certs: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience in acute care; first-time travelers must meet this requirement

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality patient care on the PCU unit, managing conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, and post-cardiac procedures
• Monitor and manage patients with various critical needs including IV therapy, arterial lines, and diabetes management
• Utilize hospital EMR (Meditech Expanse) for charting and documentation
• Manage complex medication drips including Levophed, Amiodarone, and Insulin
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, PT, OT, and ST staff
• Demonstrate proficiency in procedures such as CVL placement, foley management, and tube feedings
• Maintain clinical excellence and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for multi-state licensure
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care setting; new travelers must meet this requirement
• Must successfully pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Ability to float to various units, including stroke and medical-surgical units (floats frequently)
• Strong skills in patient assessment, IV management, and critical thinking
