Salary: $114,600 - 234,600 per year Requirements:

• 8 years of software-development experience; or a bachelors degree in a listed or related field plus 4 years of software-development experience; or a masters degree in a listed field plus 2 years of software-development experience; or a doctorate in a listed field.
• Knowledge or demonstrated ability in distributed systems, prototyping, programming, software engineering, web development, innovation, cross-functional collaboration, information vulnerabilities, operating systems, API development and integration, algorithm engineering, and source control.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, C++, C#, or a similar programming language.
• Strong skills in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, software engineering, problem solving, communication, and collaboration.
• Experience building, testing, and debugging production-quality software; familiarity with REST APIs, databases, cloud applications, and agile methods.
• Cloud-platform experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud, along with system-level testing and automation experience and experience delivering and operating large-scale distributed systems.

• Develop and architect scalable distributed-system components, define scalability requirements, optimize code and data paths, and use data-plane platforms for large-scale retrieval, storage, and processing.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain production software and cloud services, including performance and load testing.
• Build fault-tolerant, upgradable components using redundancy, replication, failover, retries, circuit breakers, timeouts, and other recovery practices.
• Create tests, alarms, fault-injection and brownout scenarios, and replication and synchronization mechanisms to validate correctness, integrity, and availability.
• Establish operational procedures and runbooks, and build telemetry, dashboards, and alerts to monitor component health and meet service objectives.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve production issues; help prevent interruptions; and participate in support rotations, incident response, root-cause investigations, and follow-up improvements.
• Develop automation, tooling, and infrastructure as code for troubleshooting and cloud-infrastructure management.
• Apply security controls, including encryption and access controls; carry out remediation; maintain compliance documentation; and follow change-management plans for patching, updates, and rollbacks.
• Work with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to turn requirements into technical solutions; document technical and operational processes; advance projects; and mentor junior colleagues.
