Job Summary: Supervises, organizes and directs the work of Nurses and Nurse Aides in Long-Term Care Facility compliant with Company Policies, State, Federal Laws and Regulations ; must be able to plan, organize, and supervise one or more Nursing Units; must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a sincere desire to work with the elderly; must sustain the cooperation of others; must communicate courteously and respectfully with Employees, Residents and others. Requirements / Qualifications: RN License in good standing in State of Mississippi; must possess or obtain TB Certification within first year of accepting position; prefer experience in Long-Term Care Nursing Supervision with comprehensive knowledge of Long-Term Care Nursing principles and practices and their relation to medical practices, skills and application; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check Duties and Responsibilities: Commitment to providing compassionate care to our elders Supervises other Nurses and Nurse Aides to coordinate and ensure quality Resident care Makes rounds with Physicians and conducts resident rounds daily Records and monitors Residents’ conditions and communicates with Physicians; assists with arranging Residents’ transportation to outside appointments Communicates with Staff Development Nurse and assists with orientation when requested
