Job Details Are you passionate about the mortgage industry with a keen eye for detail? We are seeking a Permanent Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our operations, requiring a candidate who is detail-oriented, has excellent customer service skills, and possesses strong oral and written communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in handling mortgage loan files and closing paperwork. Responsibilities As a Permanent Mortgage Loan Processor, you will play a crucial role in our company's operations. Your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Reviewing and verifying loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness. 2. Coordinating with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to obtain additional information and clarification on discrepancies. 3. Preparing and maintaining loan files from opening to closing. 4. Ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and complies with company policy. 5. Updating and verifying data into the loan processing system as needed. 6. Coordinating with the closing department to ensure a smooth transition and timely closing. 7. Providing excellent customer service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external customers. 8. Keeping up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the mortgage industry to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws. Qualifications To be considered for the role of Permanent Mortgage Loan Processor, candidates must meet the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or a similar role in the mortgage industry, would be ideal but not required. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage loan products, loan documents, and closing paperwork, would be ideal but not required. 3. Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information. 4. Excellent customer service skills with a proven record of maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. 5. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. 6. Proficiency in using mortgage loan processing software and other related computer applications. 7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity. 8. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making skills.
