Accounting & Tax Professional

This hybrid role requires working onsite in Fort Collins, CO several days per week.

We’re looking for an Accounting & Tax Professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. This position functions like managing a mini‑practice within a larger firm, overseeing all accounting and tax matters for a portfolio of 40–50 clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise Staff Accountants, ensuring high‑quality work and professional growth
• Serve as the technical resource for accounting and processing questions
• Review monthly financial statements prepared by Staff Accountants
• Conduct initial strategy sessions with new clients and manage onboarding before transitioning accounts to staff
• Build strong, long‑term client relationships and act as a strategic advisor
• Monitor client profitability and recommend fee adjustments when appropriate
• Perform annual tax planning, prepare and review tax returns, address tax questions, and respond to tax authorities

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least five years of public accounting experience (excluding audit, government, or private‑sector roles)
• CPA or EA designation, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
• A servant‑leader mindset with the ability to mentor and inspire
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in client relationships

Compensation

Expected annual salary: $90,000–$125,000
