Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior M&A Associate to join a leading law firm in Fort Lauderdale. This role offers the opportunity to lead sophisticated public company transactions, manage deal teams, and work directly with high-profile clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead M&A transactions from inception through closing
- Serve as primary client contact and strategic advisor
- Draft and negotiate key transaction agreements
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and staff
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on complex deal issues
- Manage post-closing matters and integration
Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of M&A and corporate transactional experience
- Strong leadership, drafting, and client management skills
- Proven ability to independently manage transactions
- Florida Bar admission required
- Cross-border transaction experience is a plus
