Superior Construction Services is seeking an experienced Structural Concrete Field Superintendent to lead crews on complex heavy industrial concrete projects throughout Texas and across the United States. Our work supports critical infrastructure in the material handling, oil & gas, water and wastewater, renewable and energy industries.

We don't build sidewalks or driveways—we build the structural concrete that powers industries. From equipment foundations and pump stations to elevated structural slabs and containment structures, our teams construct the reinforced concrete infrastructure that keeps America's industries moving.

What You'll Do

As a Structural Concrete Foreman, you'll lead field crews and oversee the day-to-day execution of structural concrete work while working closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Layout, Quality Control, and Safety personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to Superior's high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise structural concrete crews on heavy industrial construction projects.
  • Plan daily and weekly work activities to maximize crew productivity and project efficiency.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and layout information.
  • Coordinate all phases of structural concrete construction, including layout verification, excavation coordination, formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, anchor bolts, concrete placement, finishing, and curing.
  • Maintain accurate survey controls/benchmarks.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and deliveries with project leadership.
  • Monitor productivity while maintaining Superior's high standards for craftsmanship and quality.
  • Train, mentor, and develop crew members while fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with Superintendents, Project Managers, inspectors, clients, and other trades to maintain project progress.
  • Complete daily reports and other required project documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of structural concrete construction experience .
  • Previous experience leading crews as a Foreman, Superintendent, or equivalent field leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Structural concrete placement
    • Formwork systems
    • Reinforcing steel installation
    • Anchor bolts and embeds
    • Concrete finishing
    • Layout and elevations
  • Experience on industrial construction projects such as material handling facilities, oil & gas, water/wastewater treatment plants, power generation, or similar heavy industrial projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with equipment foundations, elevated structural concrete, containment structures, heavy reinforcing steel, mass concrete placements, and complex formwork systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to plan work several days ahead while coordinating multiple trades and maintaining production schedules.
  • Strong understanding of concrete tolerances, quality control requirements, and industrial construction sequencing.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Willingness to travel as project assignments require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MSHA 30 Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
  • Total station or GPS equipment
  • Bilingual
