CORPORATE HR MANAGER

AMPI owns six Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10 percent of the nation's American-type cheese and processed cheese is produced. The cooperative's award-winning cheese and powdered dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. In 2019, the co‑op launched its Dinner Bell Creamery brand and accompanying Co‑op Crafted promise, highlighting more than 50 years of dairy farm families partnering with skilled cheesemakers. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time: Leadership & Strategy Guide plant HR Managers to ensure consistent application of HR policies Implement strategic HR initiatives across multiple locations Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems Talent Management Oversee corporate recruitment processes and support plant‑level hiring needs Manage immigration and out‑of‑area recruitment initiatives Administer employment offers and pre‑employment screening Conduct new hire orientation and ensure consistent onboarding Compliance & Governance Ensure organizational adherence to federal and state employment regulations Develop and maintain the corporate affirmative action plan, including required training and outreach activities Conduct compliance audits of HR processes and recommend necessary adjustments Investigate and resolve employee complaints in accordance with company policy and legal requirements HR Operations Management Maintain comprehensive and confidential HR record systems for all employment‑related documentation Ensure accuracy and integrity of HRIS data across all locations Oversee benefit enrollment processes and coordinate with the Benefits Manager on program administration Manage performance management systems and ensure timely completion of reviews Professional Development Direct learning and development initiatives for all employees across the organization Monitor training compliance and completion rates across locations Provide coaching and professional development to plant HR Managers Create capability‑building opportunities for the HR team and broader organization Analytics & Reporting Develop and analyze key HR metrics and KPIs for executive leadership review Identify trends and implement corrective actions to address unfavorable metrics Payroll & Benefits Provide backup support to the Corporate Payroll & Benefits Manager Other duties as assigned An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
