Shipping And Receiving LeadThe Shipping And Receiving Lead coordinates the incoming and outgoing shipment of material. Prepares paperwork and material for shipment and reviews paperwork of incoming material. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and schedules all outbound loads and coordinates with sales and productionDetermines proper loading order and placement of productVerifies shipping documents and records any discrepanciesSet up all loads to be shipped by common carrier with outside freight companiesCoordinates routing of orders and dispatches carrier with orders and appropriate delivery instructions consistent with the customer receiving timesEnsures all internal/external paperwork meets all UFP as well as DOT regulations and proceduresDocuments any shortage on orders, investigates reasons for occurrence, and informs sales and admin of the shortage.Takes and acts upon all calls for tracing and/or expediting ordersMaintains proper documentation and records of incoming and outgoing shipmentsMay assist loading and unloading material from trucks or cartsPrepares various reports and correspondence as requiredPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum high school diploma/GEDMinimum 6 months of experience in shipping and receiving or related areaWorking knowledge of standard DOT concepts, regulations, practices, and proceduresWorking knowledge of proper loading techniques, weight limitations, and company proceduresWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, and OutlookBasic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades, and speciesSuccessful completion of forklift driver licensing processPreferred understanding of company policies, practices, and proceduresMust be at least 18 years of ageThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
