Adelphi is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide occupational therapy services at a school facility in St. Louis, MO.

The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide therapy services in accordance with established guidelines, school procedures, and standards of practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited occupational therapy program.

• Current Missouri license to practice as an Occupational Therapist (OT) issued by the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy.

• Current professional certification/credential required for Missouri licensure, as applicable.

• Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, assessment methods, therapeutic interventions, and adaptive techniques applicable to children and adolescents.

• Experience providing occupational therapy services to students with disabilities or developmental needs, preferably in a school or educational setting.

• Ability to participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide OT services to eligible students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students' functional, motor, sensory, and daily-living skills to identify occupational therapy needs.

• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions based on student needs and educational goals.

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to eligible students in individual or small-group settings.

• Participate in the development, implementation, and review of IEPs and related student support plans, as applicable.

• Address fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory, coordination, positioning, and functional skill development.

• Recommend and implement appropriate adaptive equipment, materials, techniques, and environmental modifications to support student participation.

• Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to integrate therapeutic strategies into the student's educational activities and routines.

• Consult with parents, caregivers, and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding student progress and recommended interventions.

• Document evaluations, treatment activities, student progress, and other required services accurately and timely.

• Monitor student outcomes and modify occupational therapy interventions as appropriate to support functional participation and educational progress.
