The newly expanded Derby City Gaming & Hotel was voted one of the “Best Places to Work in Greater Louisville” by Louisville Business First JOB SUMMARY The Room Attendant will perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the hotel rooms, including the restrooms. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Stock supply cart with cleaning supplies needed for the shift. Clean guest rooms, including, but not limited to, stripping and making the beds, emptying trash, cleaning mirrors, dusting furniture and fixtures, and cleaning the bathroom. Replenish guest rooms and baths with amenities, supplies, linen, and towels. Inspect room for repairs or fixtures that are not working properly. Report request for repairs or maintenance to supervisor. After completion of each room, report room status to front desk. After completion of allotted number of rooms, store cart and supplies and empty trash. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables. Excellent math and communication skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. No experience necessary.
