Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 71-bed Level 4 NICU, including stepdown patients, at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 (ICU) and 1:3 (Level 2)
• Care for complex neonatal populations including premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical patients, ECMO, and cooling cases
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems to document and monitor patient status
• Complete a Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab assessment, including Foley catheter insertion with strict sterile field technique
• Float as needed to mother-baby and labor care units (babies only)
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 4 shifts per 4-week period (Saturday and Sunday); holiday coverage based on unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience; 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required (busy Level 3 experience may be considered)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Demonstrated competency in sterile field technique, including Foley catheter insertion
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Cardiac STABLE certification is a plus
• Experience with ECMO and therapeutic cooling protocols
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
