Machine Operators/ Material Handlers on 2nd and 3rd shift

Pay : $22-$24/hour

Location : Greater McHenry Area

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automated saws to cut metal bar, tube, plate, and structural material according to work orders and specifications.
• Monitor cutting operations continuously to ensure accuracy, proper surface finish, and dimensional compliance.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using go/no-go gages, tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools to verify quality.
• Bundle finished material securely and place bundles on pallets using a forklift for safe storage or shipment.
• Build pallets when needed to support efficient material handling and staging.
• Record production data, inspection results, and material usage accurately in logs or digital systems.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment requirements, and safe material-handling practices.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move heavy metal products safely throughout the facility.
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and material handlers to maintain workflow and resolve issues quickly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in a heavy industrial, metals-focused environment.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Machine operating experience in a production or metals manufacturing setting.
• Comfort working in a metals environment, including exposure to heat, noise, and heavy materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, IL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.25/hr.
