We are looking for a detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to support high-volume mail operations for a Contract position based in Newburyport, Massachusetts. In this role, you will help prepare outgoing correspondence, organize records, and ensure documents are processed accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling routine administrative tasks, working with address data, and maintaining an efficient mail workflow.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare outgoing mail by matching recipient information with prewritten correspondence and ensuring each item is ready for distribution
• Merge and organize name and address data to create accurate mailing lists for home delivery
• Process daily mail tasks efficiently, including sorting, assembling, and routing outgoing materials
• Scan documents and maintain orderly digital and physical filing systems for easy retrieval
• Review mailing details for accuracy to reduce returned mail and support timely delivery
• Distribute incoming mail and related materials to the appropriate recipients or departments
• Support general mailroom operations by keeping materials organized and workflows moving smoothly• Prior experience working in a mailroom, clerical, or administrative support environment
• Ability to handle daily mail processing tasks with strong attention to detail
• Experience distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing correspondence
• Comfortable working with address lists, data merging, and basic document handling
• Proficiency with scanning, filing, and maintaining organized records
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately while meeting deadlines
• Strong reliability, organization, and communication skills in a team setting
